Flaurese the London-based DJ and producer known for his diverse and fresh approach to dance music. With a blend of influences and a passion for breaking away from conventional norms, he aims to add something unique to the club scene.
His musical journey started with discovering various genres through Rinse FM, his brother's music collection, and video games like Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. Studying music tech and DJing at university exposed him to postdubstep artists (TEED, SBTRKT, Dirty Projectors) and sparked his interest in genre fusion and sound creation. Flaurese has gone on to receive recognition from key supporters for his guest mixes and notable features from publications such as Notion, Hunger Magazine, DJ Mag and many more. He released his debut EP on Boston Buns 'Circa 99' imprint which gained recognition from the likes of Pete Tong among other selectors in the industry. Flaurese followed this first release with his single ‘Silk Robe', on Monki's label '&Friends', where she highlighted him as her 'one to watch' for the future.
The latest project, EP 'Over My Shoulder,' showcases his versatility and storytelling ability. Incorporating vocals and drawing inspiration from catchy melodies, disco, and soul records, he aims to create tracks that stick in listeners' minds and move the dancefloor. He believes that music should evoke a personal response, whether it's relaxation or contemplation. Besides music production, Flaurese also explores visual representation and co-created an award-winning music video. His ultimate goal is to create a long-term artistic narrative and bring back the uninhibited spirit of the '90s rave era, making people dance and express themselves freely.
